Operation
Paging
Dial
- 900 to Page All
- 901 to Page all Handsets
- 902 to Page the warehouse
- 903 to Page Order Entry
Wait till it says connected and say your page.
Transfer
Press the button directly under Transfer on the screen then press button on the Expansion Modules for said person or dial said person's extenion number This will put the person on hold till you complete it, which can be completed by selecting transfer again.
While the person is on hold, phones will let you talk to the person you are going to transfer the call too.
Transfer to VoiceMail
Is like a normal transfer but you put a * infront of the extenion when dialing
IMPORTANT NOTE The voicemail starts the second you connect so press tranfer again quickly.
Transfer Call/to Voicemail on a Cisco 7940
You can use the method from Transfer or Transfer
To use the other method called Blind Transfer
Press More then press BlndXfer. Dial in the number or the number prefixed with a * and press dial.
Parking a Call on reception
Press the button directly under More then press the button directly under Park. Now the phone will both speak back to you and show on the screen which line they're parked on.
Parking a Call on all phones
Using a similar method to Transfer; hit transfer, for the extension enter 100 followed by dial. Wait a few seconds it will say back the extension they are parked on (Ex 101, 102, 103) and then finish the parking by hitting transfer one last time.
Picking up a park call
Dial the said 10x (101, 102, 103 etc..) number and press dial follow join
Conference Calls on 7940
Establish a call then press the confrn button. Enter the next number and hit dial. Once the call is connected you can join them to the conference by pressing join.
Conference Calls on 7961
Establish a call then press more followed by confrn button. Enter the next number and hit dial. Once the call is connected you can join them to the conference by pressing join.
Auto Attendant
Dial *280 The phone will then tell you whether it was just turned off or on.
Speed Dial
We now have a speed dial feature to put your most frequently called numbers into a two digit code.
To access the feature dial: *75
Follow the instructions. Use a single digit number (ie; 1through 9) for your speed dial location.

Voice Mail
When dealing with voicemail its best to just listen to the prompts.
Checking
Press the message button on phone. Default password is 1234
Skipping Mail Info
While the phone is reading back to you things such as time and phone number, that can be skipped by pressing 1 on the dial pad
Listening to your recorded message
It is not possible to listen to your recorded message unless
- You are currently in the process of recording it
- You call your phone and listen to the message
